I think it really depends on the school. I'd suggest calling or e-mailing around to schools you are interested in to find out what their general and/or program specific requirements are. Thoughroughly check their websites too. That kind of info can usually be found in FAQ. From what I remember...like a decade ago...SAT seemed more asked for in the western states and ACT in eastern. Plenty could have changed since then though...so I would just find out from each school directly.
