What is Animatedbuzz?
First and foremost, Animatedbuzz is a social network for all things animation. Post and share your art. Also, animatedbuzz offers the opportunity to connect with industry professionals for feedback.

The social network connects the world of animation and offers a unique mentoring solution for the busy schedules of working professionals who normally don't have time to teach. Students can benefit greatly from these quick one on one check-ins.

as they're available in the "Mentors" page.

How much does it cost?
No tuition. No semesters. No diploma! Just feedback on demand for a small fee starting at around $23.

What do I get for one session?
About 10-15 video/audio chat, or 10-15 minutes spent writing a critique.

How long will it take for my Mentor to get back to me?
- As soon as they can. Responses aren't necessarily immediate because a mentor might have a few other requests before you.


Why doesn't my video (on animatedbuzz) have frame by frame option?
The current video feature does not have frame by frame so if you need to submit animation to your mentor, please email or provide link to a quicktime file or something
that supports frame by frame stepthrough for the critique. Future versions of the site will aim to fix this.

How do I pick a Mentor?
a. browse the "Mentors" page and choose a mentor.
b. Make transaction.
c. Include your question/issue in order slip (optional)
d. Mentor will contact you.
e. Connect with mentor via private message/chat/forum/audio/video chat.

Should I contact my Mentor after purchase?
- Once your order is purchased, please send a private message to your mentor letting them know about your order. They may not know about the order yet. Better
to contact them right away.



What do I do now? (immediately after purchase)
Once you have chosen a mentor, make the purchase through paypal. Once the purchase is made, you'll get a receipt in the email and at that point you might be wondering what happens next. Because Animatedbuzz in a sort of "beta/unfinished" version, not every step of the process is fully integrated yet. So, please contact your mentor immediately after the purchase by private message. Provide the critique info/questions along with links to images/portfolio/videos. Keep in mind that if you want an animation criqitue, you'll need to give the mentor a version of your animation that has a frame by frame option. Animatedbuzz videos don't support that so please provide a link to a video with frame by frame capabilities. I think Vimeo has it. Quicktime is always good. The next step is to just wait until your mentor writes back with the "e-critique".
