So I do a lot of sketching, but I hardly use color in my sketchbooks and I love to draw people more than anything. (I'm not the best at animals) And if I draw from life, I tend to simplify and cartoon a little, but I'm scared doing that is leaving me in a corner. From what I see, a lot of applicants shine in creative use of medium, color, design etc, but I just love drawing and I value structure, form and personality the most. I don't have a lot of of color design, but I like value and line.
Am I in too much of a safe-zone with what I'm trying to put together for my portfolio? Here are linkes to three different albums pertaining to my portfolio.

Some things I'm unsure about. I'd love to hear opinions on some of my stuff in this album:

Again, if you have any critique or ideas, I would totally appreciate it! I'm just not sure if drawing cartoons well is good enough and if I'm doing enough realistic stuff, enough natural gestures. When I do draw from a model, I'm wondering if I take it too far or not far enough?
Thanks!!
Lizzy
