General
I didn't do animation there, but I was in art fundies.
As far as the general school experience, there were some really cool people in the art department to meet and talk to, even between programs. Everyone is very friendly and willing to help with anything, and there is a lot of opportunity to practice drawing.
The school itself can be a bit annoying trying to communicate with faculty as far as things like registration goes, as it has got a lot of other stuff going on besides the art department. As far as the location, it's not the best. The immediate city area is a bit boring, but if you are working all the time it doesn't matter. There aren't really a lot of job opportunities in the immediate area for the animation field.
Really, what you put into it there you get out of it. After going to the screening of 3rd and 4th year films this year I saw some amazing ones, and I also saw some...really not so amazing ones. But I think that's probably uniform with most schools.
