We're two of a kind, my friend!I'm 19, and am desperately trying to fine-tune my skills and draw as much as I possibly can to piece together a portfolio of my best work.I suppose I can't disagree with the guy who posted before me. "Draw like crazy" sure is the way to go. Send me a message or something, we've both got the same mountain to climb in the months ahead!
Last but not least (hopefully), I'd like to get in on this as well if possible! I had originally planned on applying for 2014, but it's looking like it may actually be another year's worth of really hard work for me before I do. My skype name is round2whatsnext .
Thank you very much!! I understand what you mean, focus more on learning the art for myself than getting into the school, i definitely hear you. Drawing's always been something i've loved to do, but my focus has definitely been more on school lately as i'm beginning the end of my highschool life, and my passion is truly with the concept of animation and the history of it. That was actually pretty mind-opening, thank you very much. I'll try to post some of my sketchbook soon!
Also, something I tend to worry about-
Is there an age cut-off year? I remember reading that CalArts is looking for young people. If I turn, like, 25, and I'm still trying to submit, will they turn me down because I've just reached too old of an age?
Again, I'm sorry if I seem frail. My anxiety's just been acting up like crazy today.
