Hello! My name is Andrea Dailey and I'm a Visual Development artist! I love being creative in anyway I can, learning as much as possible along the way. I graduated from Computer Animation at Ringling College of Art and Design and now work as a Character Design and Visual Development artist at RowShamBow.
Visual Development, texture painting, animation, drawing, painting, sculpting, etc.
Hey sorry everyone, the site was down for a bit because of a big resource usage issue. Hopefully it's resolved now.
Ah!, sorry guy's have been so busy for the past few weeks finishing my last semester of college here. I'll be more active from no on, hoping to talk to some of you guys and see you at Calarts in fall! :)
Have you looked at the conceptart.org forums? http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=229142 there's tons of great information there and loads of Q&A on the Ringling threads :) Otherwise, from what I can tell, I'd say you're on the right path, I like your paintings most. Did you include any figure work? If it helps at all, here was my accepted portfolio: I go by "copperfire" http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=128605&page=6
Nice stuff! I actually really enjoy your rough drawings the most. I'd like to see more of that instead of the refined stuff. Maybe some more gestural work. I'm also not seeing any action lines or construction, it seems like you're focusing too much on the contour line then on what makes up those lines. I do like your line work, but it might be something to consider and may even get more movement ad weight into your drawings. Good luck, looking good so far!
