Hello everyone! I haven't really been active here but I'd like to give my congratulations to everyone who got in and consolations to everyone who didn't- don't worry, there are tons more opportunities out there! I'm still waiting to hear back from CalArts :P Quick question for y'all: do they email you when they update your application status? I just read the last few comments and agree with Josh and Victoria. Observational drawing and life drawing are very important for animation, and especially strong pieces in a portfolio. Just go anywhere where there's lots of people (restaurants, school, the bus, the train station, the Taco Bell, wherever!) I just carry a sketchbook around and draw whenever I'm not busy. Congrats to everyone again! You all are so ridiculously talented :)

Just busy with school, returning to a social life, and working on a few scholarships. As far as art goes, I'm finally taking the initiative to begin a webcomic :)

I'm actually considering AAU... it's for-profit but I've seen some great work come out of the program.
