A bit late here, but I am a SCAD student! I'm quite happy here, but I will say that it is completely a school that you have to really strive in to learn a lot. They don't require a portfolio for submission so quite honestly, a lot of the students don't really have what it takes. Because of this, the teachers almost have to dumb the lectures down to meet the lower levels, rather than focusing on the higher level. I've learned a ton and we have great teachers (especially starting this year, with Scott Wright (Dreamworks) and Jan Carlee (Blue Sky) joining us. In fact, I've even heard that we are now (supposedly) Pixar's #2 recruiting spot. But don't quote me on that one. SCAD may have had some issues in the past few years, but it's really gotten onto its feet as of late. I definitely recommend it.
