CalArts' general acceptance rate is aroun 30%, and CalArts' Character Animation department receives around 500 applicants, of which around 40 students are accepted, resulting in a 8% acceptance rate?

With Ringling, the general acceptance rate is around 70%, and Ringling's Computer Animation department receives around how many applicants, of which around 45 students are accepted, and the acceptance rate is said to be around 10%? Are there about 450 students who apply to Ringling every year?  less

I always draw hands and feet small and you do the same! just letting you know that it's typically regarded as incorrect, and people don't think of it as a stylistic choice. 2. harsh silhouette with not enough different tones. I still depend on silhouette but I've received critiques from one smart student and one Calarts representative about how using only silhouette to represent the human figure is bad and that I should use different tones inside the form to show volume and chunkiness. I don't want to make any personal critiques since I haven't reached much level yet myself, but those two things are close to facts so I think it's safe to say them.  less

I read Ringling looks for more of a Fine Arts portfolio than a typical Calarts(figure drawing) one? It's so difficult to prepare both schools at the same time...

The video is edited because I'm sending it to CSSSA, and it should be self explanatory since I wrote everything in the video.

    Hi forum,
    Back for more help!

A lot of them still depend heavily on silhouette but it's getting way better compared to last summer
Could someone point out which ones they like best so I can work to develop the style?
Any critical issues other than small hands and feet?
I still need to draw A LOT more to find my style but it always helps to hear other people's comments

I had to type the URL:

    and the animation:

i have no knowledge of how one normally critiques animation, I guess I'm supposed to receive critique for the movement? any suggestions for when making the actual demo reel? I've used Toon Boom and it's so difficult, I don't know if that's what everyone uses...
