Do they even have a drawing /painting program? All I saw was some sort of a school that attempts to teach post modern expression.I saw no indication of life drawing /painting and all the stuff that leads to what we are all about here at animatedbuzz?I attended a school here in Miami called New world school of the arts. All post modern . More or less the same stuff. So what's the appeal ?
Dennis Moric: Hi Rob! Sorry for the late late reply, your delightful comment coming from the guy with much more beautiful life drawing makes my heart vibrate with goodness. Thank you! :)

Mario FurmanczykHey! The fine art program is the closest you'll get to what you're looking for but from what I'm hearing from you, you're looking for a school who's philosophy is based in traditional/representational art/painting rather than what Calarts fine art offers which is more in line with experimental, avant garde, etc. Make sure to check out student work wherever you apply so you get the idea of what the program is all about. Good luck!

The reason I asked was that allot of animation dose involve a certain amount of drawing. Sure there are other forms of animation ,stop motion, computer animation. No drawing there. But allot of the animation dose indeed involve focus on drawing and painting. I did not see any of that at their web site. The question I asked was not pointed .Just wanted to know what others think. I must say that your answer was not very help full. It really has nothing to do with my question.
But thanks.

Well, the animation program doesn't specifically focus on animation. Life drawing is a huge part of the program, and the majority of the students there are incredibly talented in life drawing.

The first one is graphites,2b,3b,4b,6b.The others are vine charcoal and charcoal pencil. And can't forget my trusty brush for blending and midtones for the vine charcoal. I am glad you like them!

About Me
I was born in Orlando FL,moved to Miami 7 years ago. Bumped in to the Romero/Hidalgo artist studio in 2008 and have been studying there since. I am addicted to candy, drawing and painting. Not in that order! I am first gen Cuban American. I wish I could stay in Miami, I love this city. But I have a feeling I will end up in very dry California one day.Not that I mind.I love that place also!
