Hi guys! I'm Thirla. I'm turning 24 this year. I'm from Eagle Rock. It's right in between Glendale and Pasadena. I have a bachelor's degree in graphic design. I'm half Indian and half Filipino but I get mistaken as Hispanic a lot. Leads to a lot of interesting interactions.

I used to really be into anime in junior high. Then I saw Akira and I just fell in love with animation. By that point I was determined to become an animator. I'm not into any anime anymore...just Akira. My main inspiration is German Expressionism both film and fine art. I also love science fiction, horror movies, and video games. People have told me that my stuff reminds them of Tim Burton but I don't see it. Generally, I draw inspiration from pretty morbid places but I'm a really nice person once you get to know me :)

I'm also a very shy very very introverted person. Being around too many people drains my energy and I retreat into my head a lot. 

I'll be at the accepted student event as well!

@Maggie This is sort of random but I would suggest The Animation Academy in Burbank. I went there for the teen program years ago and I know Lorelay Bove took some classes there. I think they offer online classes but I'm not sure. Just something to consider.
